Four Man GTR Band

Alright, so I just got back from my friends place, where four of us proceeded to play Guitar Hero 3. We all had some Show Downs and shit and I ended up winning a fair bit of them, despite the fact I own not one of the GH games. And then, after numerous challenges to see who could get the highest score on "Through The Fire And The Flames" - DragonForce, we decided, we'd form our own band, start a brand new Career Mode, and take on every single song, as a team.

John took the Green and Red, I took Yellow and Blue, and Nathan took care of Orange and Star Power. And Matt took care of all the Wammy and Picking work.

We've gotten it beaten, all with 90%'s up 'till I think the Encore for the 3rd or maybe 4th gig.

Next weeked we're going to continue the rape and onslaught led by the Four Man GTR Band.

Haha, so yeah, it was fun. Really cool game, it's better than GH2, and I'd say probably worth the money. And seriously, through the fire and the flames is one of the craziest things I've ever seen. Ever.

Just Another Sunday, On The Verge Of Monday...

Ahh Sundays, one of the shittiest days of the week...

So today I decided to check out "In Defense of the Genre" - Say Anything. I've only gotten into the 1st disc, and thus far, it's actually pretty cool. I like it, it's sorta' a bring-back of sorts for Pop-Punk. It feels more like an album from two years ago, than one from now. But maybe that's just me. Anyways I like it, it's pretty decent stuff, I can see me keeping it on my computer.

And then I also decided to randomly check out an album I found, "The Jaws That Bite, The Claws That Catch" - ...As The Poets Affirm, and it was..alright. It's entirely instrumental as far as I can tell, which isn't bad, but this music just doesn't grab you. Kinda' sucks, as it's not awful, but it's just not great.

And I guess that's it for today, though I believe, if I'm allowed out of the house that I may go to a friends and play some Guitar Hero III, so if I do, I'll post later tonight and let you guys know if it's any good. (Except we all know it's pro, just because it's GH)

So it begins...

And ta-da, just like that my Music Blog has begun, and I now proceed to post whatever I wish that's relatively close to music related. :)

Alright, so this past week I've been listening to a lot of Streelight Manifesto, and of course the leaked album, by Angels & Airwaves titled "I-Empire". And of course, once you get past the fact that the title is awful, the album art is sketchy to the extreme, and Tom Delonge is the biggest fag in the music industry..Well, he's up there on the list at least..It's a really good album. It's the same AvA sound, but I like it. Especially the song "Rite Of Spring".

And, while I'm at it, I'll give off a brief album review for the new, and also leaked album from Streelight Manifesto, "Somewhere In The Between". The drums are lacking slightly is really the only thing I've got wrong with this album. And the last two tracks are proabbly some of the sexiest work Streetlight has put out yet.

Anyways, that's enough for now.
